The Burdale Historical Association Museum is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team! If you have a passion for local history, enjoy engaging with the public, and are looking for a fulfilling entry-level position in a dynamic and welcoming environment, we want to meet you!

Key Responsibilities:
​​

Visitor Services: Greet visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude, providing information about museum exhibits, events, and the history of Burdale. Provide visitors with maps, brochures, and other materials.

Answer general questions and assist with visitor needs during their time at the museum.

Phone & Email Inquiries: Answer phone calls and respond to emails, assisting with general information, scheduling tours, and answering questions about museum hours and programs.

Clerical Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and maintaining visitor records. Help with light office duties and support museum staff as needed.

Facility Maintenance: Help ensure the museum lobby and public areas are clean, organized, and inviting. Monitor lost and found items, and assist with visitor safety protocols.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (College students or recent graduates are welcome to apply).

Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.

Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone.

Ability to multitask and handle a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

A keen interest in history and an enthusiasm for sharing knowledge with others.

Basic computer skills (experience with point-of-sale systems or booking software is a plus).

Prior customer service or front desk experience is a bonus, but not required.​
